Laying waste to the Gaza Strip full of 2.1 million people, most of whom want peace and cooperation with Israel would be an atrocity on the scale of a medieval siege against civilians.
I don't know OF an efficient way to kill the terrorists and eviscerate Hamas when they hide amongst a trapped civilian population being used as a human shield. But whatever the tactics, I hope Israel figures out a way to separate the combatants from the peaceable residents.
It will be nonetheless ugly, violent, imperfect, and unjust in some cases. Just like the bombings of Dresden and Hiroshima.
I pray there is a better way, but I am afraid there isn't one.

Historically no state has taken in the Palestinian people. And certainly not 2.1 million refugees.

I love all people on this planet. Even those I would fight against to make the world a better and more peaceful place.
However, if my favorite dog is rabid or my horse breaks its leg, and they cannot be saved, I love them but I will put them down. The same for human murderers and rapists.

Nor was Birmingham Alabama pulverized, annihilating both innocent and guilty alike, when pursuing the KKK murderers of the 4 beautiful little girls in the basement of the 16th Street Baptist Church.
Civilized people act in proportion. Or they perpetuate genocide.
